Men's hockey rolls past SMU to complete sweep

WINONA, Minn. - Isak Tranvik had three goals and an assist as the St. Olaf men's hockey team rolled past Saint Mary's University 9-1 on Saturday night to complete an MIAC series sweep and remain alone atop the MIAC standings.
The Oles scored three in the first and four in the second period before the host Cardinals got on the board.
Ben Leis made 27 saves to get the win in net for St. Olaf (12-6-1, 8-1-1 MIAC), which remained the only team with one loss in the league.
Nick Stalock added two goals for St. Olaf, while Caleb Harrison had a score and an assist.
St. Olaf, idle next weekend, plays Bethel University Feb. 6-7. The teams meet at Northfield Ice Arena on Friday, Feb. 6 and at the Bethel University Rink at the National Sports Center on Saturday, Feb. 7.
