Hamline edges women's hoops

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Hamline University claimed a 52-48 MIAC women's basketball win over St Olaf on Wednesday night at Skoglund Center.

Nikki Klinck had ten points to lead Hamline (13-4, 10-4 MIAC) in the win.

The Pipers held St. Olaf to 8-of-33 (24.2 percent) shooting in the second half. HU wasn't much better, going 6-for-19 (34.1 percent).

Tasha Mrosak had a career-best 14 points while Elyse Erickson had 11 to pace St. Olaf, which led by four late in the first.

Hamline closed the first frame on a 9-2 rally, finished by Klink's three-pointer as time expired, to lead by three at the break.
