NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Tony Thrasher and Carl Hipp had 14 points each as visiting Hamline University held on for a 60-58 men's basketball win over St. Olaf on Wednesday night at Skoglund Center.

The Oles were led by Alfie Jaryan, who had 14 points in the loss.

St. Olaf trailed by as many as ten in the second half, but had a chance to tie or win the game on the final possession. Jaryan's jumper missed and the rebound was tipped away from the basket to give the Pipers the win.

Hamline held a seven-point lead at the half, helped by 5-for-12 shooting from three-point range. St. Olaf couldn't find the touch from the arc, going 6-for-21 in the game.

The Oles' Bobby Fong added 11 points in the loss. Fong missed just once from the field, but was limited to six shots.

St. Olaf will host Augsburg on Saturday at 3 p.m.
