Bethel starts fast, defeats Oles

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Bethel University jumped to a 21-6 lead in the first ten minutes and collected a 63-41 MIAC women's basketball win over host St. Olaf on Saturday.

The Oles battled back within eight late in the first half, but were outscored 17-2 to open the second.

Autumn Beasley had 16 points while Annegret Nautsch had 13 and 13 rebounds for Bethel (12-9, 11-7 MIAC) in the win.

The Oles (4-17, 2-16 MIAC) were led by Elyse Erickson's 15 points and six rebounds.

St. Olaf will host Gustavus Adolphus College on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
