Women's alpine wins USCSSA Divisional

BIWABIK, Minn. - Genette Sekse won the slalom and giant slalom to lead the St. Olaf women's alpine ski team to a team victory at the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association Divisional on Saturday at Giants Ridge.

Sekse had event-bests in her second runs in each race (38.11 and 31.53) to earn the wins.

The Oles' Laurie Taschler picked up two top-five finishes, going third in the slalom and fourth in the giant to help the squad to the team title.

St. Olaf will compete next at the USCSSA Regional next weekend in Marquette, Mich.
