NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Nate Krosschell had 18 points to lead St. Olaf to a 55-47 MIAC men's basketball win over Saint Mary's University on Saturday afternoon.

The win snaps the Oles' seven-game losing skid and gives the team a season sweep of SMU.

Will Wright had a team-high 17 points to pace the Cardinals in the loss.

St. Olaf (9-14, 6-12 MIAC) opened the second half on a 12-4 run to open its largest lead, 40-25, with 14:27 left. SMU closed the lead to five on three occasions down the stretch, but Krosschell made three key buckets to help seal the win.

The Oles play at Macalester College on Wednesday before finishing the season at Concordia next Saturday.
