Men's track competes at Coca Cola Classic; O'Neill wins 800

RIVER FALLS, Wis. - The St. Olaf men's track and field team competed in UW-River Falls' Coca Cola Classic meet this weekend. Senior Cullen O'Neill provisionally qualified for the NCAA championship meet, winning the 800 meter run in 1:54.84.
Third in the 800 meter run was teammate David Anderson, finishing in 1:57.60. In the 600 meter dash, Ole Brian Burseth added another third place finish with a time of 1:26.87.
Dobuol Ruon, a sophomore, and 2008 NCAA Div. III cross country All-American, was first in the mile run, crossing the line in 4.18.87. Ruon was also third in the 3000 meter run.
The Coca Cola Classic was unscored.
The team will compete next on February 21 as they host the Tostrud Classic in Northfield, Minn.
