MOORHEAD, Minn. - The St. Olaf men's basketball team dropped a 75-74 overtime thriller at Concordia College-Moorhead on Saturday afternoon to close the regular season.
The Oles (10-15, 7-13 MIAC) sent the game to the extra session with a three-pointer from Mark Torell in the final seconds of regulation.
St. Olaf then took a three-point lead with 1:24 left in overtime, but the host Cobbers scored on their next two possessions including John Fraase's layup with five seconds left to get the win.
The loss offset a 12-point, ten-rebound effort from the Oles' Stuart Neville and Nate Krosschell's 13 points.
Darrin Olmscheid had 18 to lead Concordia, while Fraase had 15. Olmscheid hit two free throws inside the final minute to get the Cobbers within one.
