Women's track competes at Parents Day Open

MINNEAPOLIS - The St. Olaf women's track and field team competed in Saturday's Parents Day Open meet, hosted by the University of Minnesota.

Top performers for the Oles included pole vaulter Amie Fillmore, who tied for sixth in her event, vaulting 3.56 meters. Teammate Susan Kenzie added another sixth place finish in the triple jump with a distance of 10.50 meters.

On the track, St. Olaf's Callie Knaeble was eighth in the 400 meter dash, crossing the line in 1:01.48. Knaeble was also ninth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 27.38. Abby Smith, a junior, run the 800 meter run in 2:22.64, which also placed her eighth.

The Parents Day Open was unscored.

The team competes again on February 27, when they host the Ole Open at Tostrud Center.
