MINNEAPOLIS - Nick Fuerst hit a one-out, RBI walk off double to cap a three-run seventh inning in game two as St. Olaf swept Wartburg College, 6-4 and 5-4, in a non-conference baseball doubleheader at the Metrodome on Tuesday night.

Game One: St. Olaf 6, Wartburg 4
Tyler Johnson hit a three-run second inning homer and Fuerst went 2-for-4 as the Oles picked up the season-opening win.

St. Olaf scored four in the second and another in the third, on a Sam Baltes single, to take a 5-0 lead.

Todd Mathison got the win, going five strong innings. He allowed four runs, but only one was earned.

Brandon Agneberg pitched the final two innings, including a perfect seventh, to get the save.

Game Two: St. Olaf 5, Wartburg 4
Fuerst was 2-for-4 and Brett Hoffmann 2-for-3 as the Oles rallied for the victory.

Hoffmann started the seventh with an infield single and later scored on an error. After Johnson popped up, Pat Wadzinski doubled and scored the tying run on a Tyler Jones single to set up Fuerst's game-winning knock.

St. Olaf starter Ben Hughes held the Knights scoreless through the first three innings, but was touched for four runs on three hits in the fourth.

The Oles then went to Wes Olson, Matt Neuger and Erik Olson who pitched an inning of scoreless relief each to help set up the comeback.
