Iraci scores twice as women's hockey advances with 2-1 win over Cobbers

MOORHEAD, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's hockey team defeated Concordia College-Moorhead 2-1 on Thursday night in the first round or the MIAC Playoffs to earn a date with top-seeded and No. 1 Gustavus Adolphus College on Saturday afternoon.

Each of Iraci's scores came in the second period. The first, at 9:22, came on assists from Kim McClintick and Meghan Stumpf. The second came with 1:44 left on feeds from Kelly Biddle and Kari McClintick.

The Oles, who took only two penalties, outshot the host Cobbers 34-27 and had 26 saves from Erin McNamara to get the win.

St. Olaf will play in the semifinals at top-seeded Gustavus on Saturday at 2 p.m.
