Fong named to MIAC's all-rookie team, all-league honorable mention

ST. PAUL, Minn. - St. Olaf first year guard Bobby Fong was named to the MIAC's all-rookie team and was an all-conference honorable mention selection, the league announced Wednesday.

Fong averaged a team-best 12.8 points/game, which was best among first years in the conference. He scored in double figures 15 times and had at least 20 points three times.

Mitch Haugen was the Oles' pick on the league's all-sportsmanship team.

St. Olaf was 10-15 and 7-13 in MIAC play in 2008-09. Three of the team's top six scorers were first years.
