Men's Nordic takes part in USCSA Championships

WINTER PARK, Colo. - The St. Olaf men's nordic team finished second with a total of 125 points at the 2009 U.S. Collegiate Skiing and Snowboarding National Championships at Devil's Thumb Ranch, Colo. Mar. 3-7.

The Oles finished second in the 1.5K Sprint, second in the 8.5K Classic, fourth in the 15K men's freestyle, and second in the 3x5K relay.

Tom Jorgenson finished fifth in the sprint with a time of 3:17.1. Teammates, Jim Vaillancourt and Brandon Piechowski followed in 11th and 16th respectively. Piechowski took fourth in the classic finishing in 25:34. Vaillancourt finished in 27:27 earning ninth place. Jorgenson and Piechowski took 15th and 17th respectively in the freestyle.
