Softball drops a pair in Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. - The St. Olaf softball team lost games to Taylor University (8-0) and North Central College (15-5) on Tuesday afternoon.

North Central scored 14 runs in the first three innings in the 15-5 win over the Oles.

The Cardinals' Kelli Lofgren went 3-for-3 with five RBIs while teammate Brianna Nicholson went 3-for-3 with three RBIs in the win.

The Oles' Katie Truax, Anna Begin and Adrenne Rowell each had 2-for-3 efforts at the plate in the loss. St. Olaf, however, was plagued by five errors while NCC collected 17 hits off the Oles' starter -- Truax -- in the run-rule game.
