NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The College of Saint Benedict used a pair of late rallies to sweep the St. Olaf softball team, 2-0 and 4-2, on Thursday afternoon at Mabel Shirley Field.

Game One: Saint Ben's 2, St. Olaf 0
The visiting Blazers scored twice in the sixth inning on a single, RBI double by Jillian Rigg and a passed ball.

The Oles had a two-out hit in the seventh - an Adrianne Rowell single - but the inning ended on the next play, a groundout to third.

Game Two: Saint Ben's 4, St. Olaf 2
The Blazers broke a 2-2 tie with a run each in the sixth and seventh innings to get the win.

After falling behind 2-0, St. Olaf tied the game in its half of the third on a Kari Zimmerman single, Anna Begin RBI double and an RBI groundout by pinch hitter Kayla Schmidt.

St. Olaf pitcher Erin Johnson scattered eight hits and a walk in the loss, the team's tenth in a row.

The Oles play at Augsburg College on Saturday at 10 a.m. The doubleheader, first scheduled for 1 p.m., was moved up to avoid forecast rain.
