Softball swept by Auggies

MINNEAPOLIS - Augsburg College limited the St. Olaf softball team to three hits in a 8-0 and 2-1 sweep of the visiting Oles on Saturday.

Game One: Augsburg 8, St. Olaf 0
The Auggies scored six first inning runs and coasted to the run-rule victory. Strandell and Persing each went 3-for-3 for Augsburg.

The Oles' Adrienne Rowell had the team's only hit.

Game Two: Augsburg 2, St. Olaf 1
St. Olaf shortstop Ali Berens hit a solo homerun in the fourth, but Augsburg held on for the 2-1 win.

Erin Johnson had her best outing for the Oles, holding the Auggies to two runs on six hits and two walks in six innings.

Augsburg scored twice in the third inning on a walk, a hit and two St. Olaf errors.

St. Olaf, which has lost 12 in a row, plays at Concordia College-Moorhead tomorrow.
