Nesbit is coach of the year; Ho named All-MIAC in singles, doubles

ST. PAUL, Minn. - St. Olaf sophomore Abigail Ho was named All-MIAC as a singles and doubles player on Thursday after going 11-9 in singles play and 10-8 in doubles play in the top flight in each.
Head coach Scott Nesbit was named the league's coach of the year after leading his team to a 14-6 mark overall and an 8-2 season in conference play. His team was third in the regular season before winning its first two matches in the MIAC playoffs to advance to the title match.
Claire Carlson was the Oles' other selection as a singles player while Aimee Ny, Caitlin Harper and Christine Muller were all-conference in doubles play.
Ho was 7-3 in conference play in singles while she teamed with Christine Muller to post a 10-9 record in doubles play. The duo was 6-4 in league play.
Carlson won her last nine singles matches to finish the season 15-3. She was 12-1 at the fourth spot, 3-1 at the third spot and lost her only match at the No. 2 position.
Ny partnered with Harper to finish 10-8 overall in doubles play. The pair was 7-3 in MIAC play.
