Fillmore wins pole vault, women's track sixth at MIAC's

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Amie Fillmore won the pole vault to pace the St. Olaf women's track and field team in its sixth place finish at the MIAC outdoor championships, which completed its two-day schedule on Saturday afternoon.
Fillmore went 11-9 1/4 (3.42m) to win the event.
The Oles' Abby Smith had a solid championship, finishing third in the 800 and fourth in the 1,500.
Katheryn Thompson had the team's other individual top four performance, as she was fourth in the 400 hurdles.
Annie Knutson added a fifth place run in the 3000 steeplechase and an eighth place finish in the 5,000.
First year Gina Collins added to her sixth place heptathlon finish by placing fourth in the long jump, an event that saw teammate Jordan Kling in fifth.
The Oles' other top efforts came from Becca Neuger (seventh in the high jump), Katie Duwell (6th in the 1,500) and the team's 4x400 relay (fourth).
