ST. PAUL, Minn. - Todd Mathison took a no-hitter into the sixth inning in his 7 1/3-inning, scoreless outing to help the St. Paul Saints to a 2-0 win over Wichita on Thursday. Mathison allowed just one hit while striking out six in the win.

Mathison's 91-pitch outing earned him his first win as a Saint. In two appearances, he has allowed one run in 12 innings.

Mathison was a four-time All-MIAC and three-time all-region selection at St. Olaf. He is one of three former St. Olaf players -- with OF Andrew Schmiesing '08 and Charlie Ruud '04 -- on the team's roster.
