NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Abby Smith was third, Michaela McLaughin fourth and Maren Westby sixth as the St. Olaf women's cross country team eased into the 2009 season with 4k meet with Macalester College on Thursday on the St. Olaf Cross Country Trails.

The Oles run next on Saturday in a Alumnae 5K meet. Next Saturday, the team will compete at the Les Duke Invitational in Oakland Acres, Iowa.
