Women's soccer drops 4-0 game to Whitworth

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Visiting Whitworth University scored twice in each half of a 4-0 win over the St. Olaf women's soccer team on Friday.

The Pirates (1-0-0) jumped to a 1-0 lead on a Davin Sidonia goal in the fourth minute and never turned back. Sarah Berenston added a goal in the 25th minute to make it 2-0 at the half.

Whitworth, which had second half goals from Cory Druffel and Kelly Lunde, outshot the Oles 14-10 in the win.

St. Olaf will play two more non-conference home games before its MIAC opener on Sept. 15 against Hamline. The Oles host Luther College on Wednesday and Carthage College next Saturday.
