NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Carson Jones had three touchdown catches from John Haberman and Leon Clark rushed for 197 yards to lead St. Olaf past Luther College, 33-13, on Saturday afternoon at Manitou Field.

Jones, who spent the last two seasons on the defensive side of the ball, had a game-high six receptions for 148 yards. His 83-yard score on the Oles' third play from scrimmage made it 7-0.

Luther tied the game at 7-7 on a seven-yard TD pass from Chris Reynolds to Kris McAllister, three plays after the Norse blocked a punt inside the 10-yardline.

The Oles responded with the second Haberman-to-Jones connection of the day, a leaping 32-yard strike, early in the second quarter to make it 14-7.

Two possessions later, Clark took the first play 81 yards for a touchdown, his first of the day. He also caught a touchdown pass later in the game from Clay Garrett, who replaced Haberman in the third quarter.

Haberman finished the day 10-for-15 for 178 yards with no interceptions. He left with an injury, which didn't appear to be serious.

The Ole defense did its part as well. St. Olaf limited Luther to 42 yards rushing and 207 yards overall.

Adam Concannon had a game-best 12 tackles, including seven solo, in the win. Tyler Jones and first year Nick Nazarian added second half interceptions.

St. Olaf (1-0, 0-0 MIAC) plays at Pacific Lutheran University next week at 2:30 p.m. CST. The Oles, 16-1 in its last 17 non-conference games, defeated PLU 17-0 last season.
