NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Carson Jones was named the MIAC's offensive player of the week on Tuesday, after he had six receptions for 148 yards and three scores in the Oles' win over Luther on Saturday.

His first touchdown, on the Oles' third play from scrimmage, went 83 yards. His other two scores were from 32 and 14 yards. Jones' 148-yard receiving day is the best since Sept. 21, 2007 (Horace Gant, 177 yards on 11 receptions @ Augsburg).

Jones' effort was his first on offense since 2006 as he spent the last two seasons as a defensive back.

St. Olaf plays at Pacific Lutheran on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. CST.
