Women's golf fifth in 22-team Wartburg Invite Field

WAVERLY, Iowa - The St. Olaf women's golf team was fifth of 22 teams at the Wartburg Invitational at Centennial Oaks Golf Club on Sunday.

The Oles Rachel Wieme and Molly Erickson cracked the top 12 in the 106-player event. Wieme fired rounds of 79 and 80 to finish in a ninth place tie while Erickson, a first year, went 81-82 to finish 12th.

Lizzy Zahn and Vanessa Kleckner shot two-round scores of 171 and 172, respectively.

St. Olaf plays at the Division III Midwest Classic next weekend at The Jewel in Lake City, Minn.
