ST. PAUL, Minn. - St. Olaf sophomore Lindsay Howard was named the MIAC's women's soccer player of the week after she had four goals and an assist in the Oles' 2-0 start to the MIAC schedule.

Howard scored on a header in the ninth minute, that proved to be the game winner, as the Oles defeated Hamline 4-0 on Tuesday.

Led by Howard's three goal performance on Saturday, St. Olaf defeated Saint Benedict 5-0 for the team's first win over the Blazers since 1989. She also assisted on the game winning goal by Catie Christoffel at 19:42 of the first half.

Howard currently leads the Oles, who moved to ninth in the latest regional ranking, with five goals and five assists on the season.
