Volleyball gets first league win in sweep over Macalester

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The St. Olaf volleyball team earned its first league win of the year with a three-set sweep Macalester College -- 25-15, 25-14 and 25-19 -- on Wednesday night behind Kim Smisek's 17 kills.

Smisek hit .382 and added a team-high eight digs in the victory for the Oles (13-2, 1-1 MIAC), their fifth straight.

Kelly Prunty added 32 set assists and Melissa Burch seven kills in the win.

Majra Mucic had a team-best six kills for Macalester in the loss.

St. Olaf plays at St. Catherine University on Saturday at 2 p.m.
