Football outlasts Auggies 24-14

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Antonio Jennings' 90-yard touchdown reception from John Haberman with 4:28 left in regulation lifted St. Olaf to a 24-14 win over visiting Augsburg College on Saturday.

Jennings finished the day with five receptions for 162 yards and the score. His 36- and 23-yard catches set up the Oles' first two scores.

Haberman was 20-for-30 for career-best 310 yards, a touchdown and interception in the win.

Augsburg (1-2, 0-1 MIAC) led 7-0 and 14-7 on TD runs from Waylon Hartwick and quarterback Marcus Brumm, who went 24-for-53 for 249 yards and an interception in the loss.

St. Olaf (3-1, 1-1 MIAC) evened the score on its opening drive in the third quarter on a one-yard run from Kevin Foss.

Josiah Powell's 33-yard field goal with 7:28 left gave St. Olaf its first lead of the day, at 17-14.

The St. Olaf defense then stopped Augsburg on the next possession to set up Jennings' score.

Adam Concannon led the St. Olaf defense with 10 tackles, including a sack, and an interception.

St. Olaf plays at Carleton next week.
