Men's soccer edged in overtime

MOORHEAD, Minn. - Concordia College-Moorhead defeated the St. Olaf men's soccer team 2-1 in overtime on Saturday, giving the Oles (5-1-1, 2-1-0 MIAC) their first loss of 2009.

The Oles' Sam Harrington sent the game to the extra session with his goal at 85:34.

The Cobbers (3-6-0, 1-3-0 MIAC) ended it with Riley McGlynn's fourth goal of the season, on a feed from Drew Glogoza, in the third minute of overtime.

Concordia held an 18-12 advantage in shots, but 14 came in the first half. St. Olaf keeper Alex Kuehl had eight saves in the frame, but took his first loss of the season.

Concordia took a 1-0 lead early in the second half, on Jared Rice's score at 53:35.

St. Olaf hosts WIAC foe UW-Oshkosh on Sunday at 1 p.m.
