Concannon named MIAC's defensive player of the week

ST. PAUL, Minn. - St. Olaf senior linebacker Adam Concannon (Orlando, Fla./University) was named the MIAC's defensive player of the week on Monday, after he helped the Oles to a 24-14 win over Augsburg on Saturday.
Concannon had 10 tackles, including a sack, and an interception in the Oles' win over Augsburg on Saturday. His interception set up the Oles' first score, which tied the game at 7-7. He also had a pass breakup as the Oles limited Augsburg's passing attack to a 23-for-53 day for 249 yard with no touchdowns. The Auggies had passed for an average of 354.5 yards and a combined three touchdowns in their first two games.
St. Olaf (3-1, 1-1 MIAC) plays at Carleton College on Saturday at 1 p.m.
