ST. PETER, Minn. - The 21st-ranked St. Olaf men's soccer team used an early goal by Nathan Swenson to defeat host Gustavus Adolphus College 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Swenson scored just 3:40 into the game, on an assist from John Zietlow, for the contest's only score.

Gustavus held a 12-5 edge in shots, but each team had only four shots on goal. St. Olaf keeper Harry Ullman made all four saves and picked up his first collegiate win with the shutout.

St. Olaf (8-1-1, 4-1-0 MIAC) hosts Bethany Lutheran College on Tuesday at 4 p.m. The Oles return to league play next Saturday with a home match with St. Thomas.
