NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Lindsay Howard's overtime goal, her second score of the game, lifted St. Olaf to a 3-2 overtime women's soccer win over UW-Eau Claire on Wednesday at Rolf Mellby Field.

Howard's tally came in the final minute of the first overtime on an assist from Catie Christoffel.

The goal helped the Oles complete a come-from-behind win after UW-Eau Claire had established a 2-0 lead in the first half. The Blugolds (8-3-1) had goals from Richelle Shannon and Ali Mater in a span of 1:29 -- in the 25th and 27th minutes -- to take a 2-0 lead.

Howard narrowed the lead to 2-1 with her goal about 10 minutes later. The Oles' Deanne Schmidt sent the game to the extra session with her unassisted tally with 1:41 left in regulation.

Howard now has a team-best 11 goals, which rank as the fifth most on record at St. Olaf. Her multi-goal effort was her second straight and third of the season.

St. Olaf (8-3-0, 4-1-0 MIAC) returns to MIAC play on Saturday with a game at St. Thomas at 11 a.m.
