NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The University of St. Thomas struck for two goals in each half on the way to a 4-0 men's soccer victory over 16th-ranked St. Olaf on Wednesday afternoon at Rolf Mellby Field.

The loss snapped a three-game St. Olaf winning streak.

Mike Hutton played a part in each UST goal, collecting two goals and two assists in the win. Hutton gave St. Thomas a 1-0 lead with his tally at 24:31. He then assisted on the Toms' next two goals - from Elliot Amundson and Brett Day - before scoring the final goal in the 53rd minute.

St. Olaf held a 5-1 advantage in corners and were outshot by only one (7-6), but had only two shots on goal.

UST's four goals were the most St. Olaf has allowed all season. Into Wednesday, the Oles had given up more than one goal only once and had allowed a total of seven in the team's first 10 games.

St. Olaf (9-2-1) will host its alumni on Saturday before another home game, a contest with UW-Platteville on Sunday at 1 p.m.
