Ole women bump Cards 3-0

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Lindsay Howard and Deanne Schmidt each had a goal and an assist as St. Olaf bumped Saint Mary's University 3-0 in a MIAC women's soccer game on Tuesday afternoon.

Howard gave the Oles an early lead with her rebound goal in the 12th minute. Schmidt, who was credited with an assist on the Howard goal, gave St. Olaf a 2-0 advantage with her one-timer at 31:44.

The Oles' final score came from off the foot of Ellie Steiner on an assist from Christine Barringer.

Howard now has 31 points which is the most for any player at St. Olaf since 1996.

St. Olaf hosts Macalester on Saturday at 1 p.m.
