Tommies top Ole men in non-league contest

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - St. Thomas claimed a 5-4 non-conference men's hockey win over St. Olaf on Friday night at Northfield Ice Arena.
Britton Smith had a pair of goals and Caleb Harrison three assists for the Oles (2-1-0), who had an early 2-1 lead on Smith's first goal.
UST (2-0-1) scored three of the game's next four goals and had scores from five different players in the win. The Tommies got the game-winner from Andy Singerhouse at the 7:37 mark of the third period on assists from Andrew Kappers and Nick Gorski.
St. Olaf, down 3-2 and 4-3, tied the game twice on goals from Blake Matejcek and Smith.
The Oles host Saint Mary's University tomorrow at 7 p.m.
