Oles host Northfield Quad Classic

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Nate Bentley and Chris Bateman each won three individual events as the St. Olaf swimming and diving team hosted the unscored Northfield Quad Classic on Saturday.

Bentley won the 200 Free (1:46.83), the 200 IM (2:01.17) and the 500 Free (4:58.96). Bateman took home first in the 100 Breast (59.94), 200 Back (1:54.50) and 400 IM (4:04.92).

Bateman also swam on the team's winning 200 Medley Relay squad, as did Luke Murrell, Luke Money and Brock Edwards. Edwards won the 100 free and was second in the 200 while Money finished second in the 100 and 200 Fly.

Chase Liaboe picked up the team's other individual win -- in the 200 Fly (2:04.88) -- and was second in the 1650 Free.

The Oles' Kyle Biesecker and Luke Murrell were third and fourth in the 50 Free.

Evan Plotz added a second place swim in 200 Breast while Ryan Johnsen was third.
