I supervise and assist case managers who resettle newly arriving refugees. I also assist with proposals, budgeting and finances.
What has been your career path to date?
International Institute of MN in an Americorps position working with a mentoring program. Lutheran Social Service of MN in a Refugee Cash Assistance and Case Manager position within the Refugee Resettlement Program.
How did your interest in working internationally develop?
Study/Service abroad at St. Olaf.

Same as above.
What is the most difficult or challenging aspect about working internationally?
What has been the most rewarding aspect of working internationally?
Learning about cultural differences and seeing the similarities. Working with such a generous and warm group of coworkers and clients.
What does being a “global citizen” mean to you?
Serving the international public interest.
What advice would you offer current students interested in working internationally?
Develop a unique skill.
