Tom Pritchard, known by most in the St. Olaf community as "Tom the Bus Driver," was airlifted to Regions Hospital in St. Paul on the evening of April 15. Pritchard underwent emergency heart surgery April 16.
Its not exactly your rags to riches story, but for St. Olaf alums Gretchen Morgenson and Carla Baranauckas, it was a rise from the green pastures of St. Olafs campus to greener pastures in the world of journalism. Both received Pulitzer Prizes, announced April 8, for their work at the New York Times.
Ozomatli, who won a Grammy this year for Best Latin/Rock Alternative Album, will headline St. Olaf and Carletons annual Spring Concert, scheduled for May 4.
