Student Government Association (SGA) senators voted to increase the SGA executive stipend in a controversial decision last Thursday. The increase, which will take effect next year, will increase the stipends from $900 to $2000 and will result in the allocation of $31,000 of the SGA budget to stipends.
While many St. Olaf students may consider entering a business-related field after graduation, other St. Olaf students have already started their own businesses. On Friday, April 23, students were given the chance to display their business offerings in the Buntrock Crossroads as part of the annual Finstad Trade Show.

John Schuster, an executive coach and expert on training people about career decisions, talked to a mixed group of faculty, staff, students and community members in Dittman Monday evening about finding a calling in life.
Last weekend, St. Olaf student Brittany Larson 06 received the Minnesota Association of Scholars (MAS) Outstanding Student Leader Award for her work involving intellectual diversity at St. Olaf.
