On May 30, three St. Olaf College music ensembles will embark on the largest music tour in the colleges history. The St. Olaf Band, St. Olaf Choir and St. Olaf Orchestra will tour Norway for 21 days as they take part in the countrys centennial celebration of its peaceful separation from Sweden.
Students, faculty and guests gathered Tuesday in Trollhaugen dining room to celebrate St. Olaf leaders and honor those who have shown themselves as emerging and established leaders on campus.
This week marks the end of Viva La Raza, a two-week celebration of Latino culture sponsored by Presente and the Diversity Celebrations Committee (DCC).
The St. Olaf Bookstore recently released statistics from a 2004 survey completed by over 1,000 students. While the survey shows that students and faculty are pleased with the current bookstore, the results also pointed out areas of improvement, which will be addressed in the future.
On Saturday, St. Olafs Muslim Student Association (MSA) and the Carleton Islamic Association (CIA) hosted the first annual Islamic Conference at St. Olaf.
