Agricultural lands discussed

On Oct. 4-5, the St. Olaf Board of Regents will meet on campus to discuss, among other items, the Executive Committee recommendation regarding use and development of farmland owned by the College.

Professor lectures on war, academia

David Little, Professor at Harvard Divinity School and recurrent visitor to St. Olaf College, spoke to a group of students, alumni, and professors last Thursday the 27th about the ethical responsibilities of professors in the classroom during times of war.

Homecoming hosts generations

Homecoming fever spread across campus this week. The Olaf community came together to celebrate 2007's theme, "Oles In Wonderland," inspired by Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland." The theme was decided on last spring by the Student Activities Committee.

Oleville blogs facilitate access

Student Government Association website has, since its foundation on Feb. 14 of last year, become a well-known resource for Olaf students in search of news, SGA activities, calendar of events and more. What fewer students may know, however, is another central feature to Oleville: blogs.

This Week in St. Olaf History

Thirteen years ago, St. Olaf took Mark U. Edwards, Jr. as its ninth president on Oct. 9, 1994. Edwards succeeded former President Mel George, who served St. Olaf for nine years.

Kneser weaves tales

Dean of Students Greg Kneser gave his annual Ghost Tour of the St. Olaf campus Friday at 9 p.m. as part of Homecoming.
