Controversy over condoms; Catching up with times

St. Olaf has finally decided to make condoms readily available at all hours of the day. A new policy has been instituted, and from what I hear, condom dispensers will be put in the bathrooms on campus.

Plight of the ballerina

While it is not the biggest news story of recent days, the sorry tale of Anastasia Volochkova certainly passes for thought-provoking. Volochkova, one of the world's most celebrated ballerinas, was fired two weeks ago by Moscow's eminent 227-year-old Bolshoi Theater for not renewing her shortened contract.

Letters to the Editor

I was happy to see the news of switching to Peace Coffee in the Cage made the front page of last week’s Mess. Thank you for your article, “Nursing Major Scrutinized,” addressing the reconsideration of the nursing major.
