On April 27, the House of Representatives passed a bill which would make it a federal crime for any adult to take a girl 17-years-old or younger across state lines without parental consent to have an abortion.
Parliamentary elections were held in Britain last week. They resulted in another victory for current Prime Minister Tony Blair, who retained his position with a slim majority of the vote.
