Volleyball set to claim MIAC: Oles aiming beyond preseason predictions

This year’s volleyball team is making no qualms about where they are headed this season. In fact, any spectator that happens to amble into an Ole practice is bound to get the message loud and clear. Shouts of "MIAC Champs" and "Final Four" echo through the rafters as the girls go through their routine warm-up drills.

McDonald replaces Book

Matt McDonald, current head baseball coach, will replace Cindy Book as the new Director of Athletics for St. Olaf College this season.

Women show promise in third place finish at Carleton

The women’s cross country team overcame sickness and sore legs for a strong third place finish in a field of six teams at last weekend’s Carleton Invitational. The meet marked the beginning of a promising season for an exciting new generation of Ole runners. A tightly grouped lead pack, comprised exclusively of underclassmen, sent out a clear message of the team’s vast potential and left little doubt as to this team’s ability to carry on the program’s strong tradition.

Promise kept: Lewis delivers historic day

The guarantee is probably the most feared statement in professional sports. The last thing a team needs is to have extra pressure riding on a game or give the opposition something to use as fuel heading into a contest.
