After dropping four straight conference contests, the Ole football team won its first game in over a month by dismantling Hamline 43-13 on Oct. 18. The team hoped to build on that momentum as they welcomed Macalester to Manitou Field for the final home game of the season. The Oles had plenty of reasons to be confident heading into the showdown with the Scots, not the least of which was having MIAC Players of the Week Brian Senske 04 and Nate Johnson 05 on the field.
Playing in a cold, driving wind, the St. Olaf men's soccer team stopped a three-game losing skid by beating the 0-8 Auggies 4-2 on Tuesday afternoon. The victory moves the Oles into one of the top four spots in the MIAC rankings.
The St. Olaf volleyball team riding a three-game winning streak into Wednesday nights matchup against Carleton feel short to the Knights losing 0-3. The Oles defeat to their cross-town rivals was even more bitter for the team, as the loss puts an end to their postseason hopes.
