No place like home: Women excel at Manitou Classic

After competing in the 2005 Lee Krough Invitational at Gustavus April 16, St. Olaf hosted the Manitou Classic at Manitou Field Saturday.

Off-season? It's on!

It’s been five months since they last took the field in pads, but the St. Olaf football team has been anything but idle this spring.

Fans should stay in stands

I can’t believe this is happening. I can’t believe I actually have to stand up for Gary Sheffield.

Men impressive at 'Relay' events

The St. Olaf men’s track and field team demonstrated their considerable depth last week as they competed in a pair of overlapping relay meets – the Kansas Relays, which took place Thursday through Saturday at the University of Kansas, and the Carleton Relays, held Saturday at Carleton’s Laird Stadium.

Baseball pushes onward

Not even Mother Nature can slow these Oles. The St. Olaf baseball team battled the elements in each of their most recent MIAC doubleheaders but still went 3-1 in key conference matchups with Gustavus and Hamline. The Oles split a rescheduled doubleheader with the Gusties Sunday afternoon (inclement weather moved the games from Saturday) and then fought through sleet and rain Tuesday afternoon in a sweep of the Pipers.

Oles fall to last-place Scots

After being crushed by Carleton 8-1 last Saturday in St. Paul, the men’s tennis team endured another disappointing loss to Macalester.

Ladies split pair

In the past week, the St. Olaf women’s tennis team has experienced victory, defeat and faced inclement weather. On April 22, the Oles began their scheduled home match against Carleton, but with the teams tied 2-2, the remaining competition was postponed due to rain.

Mess Poll
How do you feel about the recent news of a tuition increase?
This is news to me.
I am a senior. Thank god.
I'd feel better about it if a more adequate explanation was provided.
It's routine and expected. What gives?
