While much of the focus of this year's fall sports season has been on the recent success of the football team, slipping under the radar has been the performance of the St. Olaf women's cross country team.
As the calendar flips over to November, we have officially entered the winter sports season. Professional and college football has been in full swing for two months, the NHL is back and skating (finally) and the NBA gets underway this week. There should be plenty to keep sports fans occupied as winter tightens its icy grip around the Upper Midwest.
The St. Olaf football team suffered its first loss of the season last Saturday to St. Johns University, falling 63-9 in Collegeville, Minn. With the loss, the team falls to second place in MIAC standings with an overall record of 7-1.
