Momentum, the old baseball adage says, is today's starting pitcher. St. Olaf's Todd Mathison '09 proved the baseball gods right Tuesday afternoon at the Metrodome, hurling a complete game gem and allowing the Oles to earn a split with the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
Last Thursday through Saturday, St. Olaf's Tostrud Center hosted the MIAC Indoor Track and Field meet, though the men's host squad, coached by Bill Thornton, finished just seventh out of 11 teams. St. Thomas easily won the event, with 205 points, nearly four times St. Olaf's total. Last year, St. Olaf finished fourth at the MIAC championships.
