Hockey earns split with Tommies

The St. Olaf men's hockey team defeated St. Thomas 3-1 two Saturdays ago at the St. Thomas arena. The victory gives the men their first win this season, as well as their first win in MIAC play.

Brokl's last second goal spurs Ole women to late win

The St. Olaf women's hockey team took advantage of seven power play opportunities two Saturdays ago, scoring three power play goals on their way to a 5-4 victory over St. Thomas.

Men rebound with two wins

After opening its season with two consecutive losses, the St. Olaf men's basketball team rebounded with two victories of its own. In a 75-48 win over Crown College on Saturday, freshman Mark Torrell led the Oles with 16 points.

The St. Olaf wrestling team began its dual season on Friday, Nov. 17 at home against York College. St. Olaf was handed the loss, 28-11.

Swimmers compete at 'U'

St. Olaf's swimmers and divers went their separate ways on their last weekend of competition before the Thanksgiving break. On Nov. 17 and 18, St. Olaf's top male and female swimmers competed at the elite University of Minnesota Invitational against stiff competition, including several Division I schools. Meanwhile, divers were competing at the nearby Macalester College Invitational.
