Viva la banda: Ole band returns

The border-hopping St. Olaf Band concluded its tour of Mexico with a home concert in Skoglund Auditorium on Feb. 14. The two-hour program, conducted by Music Professor Timothy Mahr, featured two trumpet soloists and a variety of American and Mexican music.

In harmony at home: Ole choir back from cross-country tour

When a choir returns home from a several-week-long cross-country tour, its members might normally rush off to shower, eat, and find some much-needed sleep in their familiar beds. Such was not the case with the St. Olaf Choir, who, upon their arrival home from their annual winter tour, reunited with their peers for a rousing homecoming concert in Boe Chapel last Sunday.

Tale told well

What do you get when you combine "Othello," Simon and Garfunkel, and wild sheep shearing? You get a stunning run of Shakespeares "The Winters Tale," directed by Artist in Residence Dona Werner Freeman and the most recent production to come out of the theatre department.
