Students play all that jazz

In what could be described as "jazz weekend" at St. Olaf, clusters of small, round tables were set up in front of the stage in the Pause on Friday and Saturday night, turning the venue into a jazz club. Jazz I performed a concert on April 30, followed by Jazz II and III in a joint concert on May 2.

Definitions a definitive success

"Definitions," an original play written by Jess Plagens '04, ran April 30 and May 1 in Flaten Hall. The show was Plagens' senior seminar for her IDFA major, and she spent two years writing it. Her hard work paid off: "Definitions" was a delightful mix of the fine arts, combining theatre, music and art in stylish and creative ways.

Philharmonia plays final concert for the year

Closing out a three-day spring tour, the St. Olaf Philharmonia performed a concert in Skoglund Auditorium on Monday night that featured an assortment of Classical, Romantic and 20th-century music.
